Architecture, interiors and master planning teams work collaboratively; designing with the user in mind and with an in-depth understanding of operational principles, and how to bring the two together to create a seamless holistic experience.
Our heritage informs all of our work
Over 30 years ago, we began working in the spa and wellness sector. Since then, we have designed over 100 spa and wellness projects world-wide. Many have been award-winning projects that have set new benchmarks for others to follow
Melt’s CEO, Jean-Paul Blissett’s passion and long term commitment to the health industry started with traditional health farms in the UK, then the first spa on a cruise ship to creating the world famous Chiva-Som in Thailand.
This unparalleled experience and expertise sets us apart from other architects and designers.
We agree operational principles, develop detailed working briefs and produce flow diagrams to ensure the operational aspects of every scheme are well considered and well defined – this allows us to develop projects that work seamlessly.
We have extensive experience in the design, technical integration and procurement of specialist thermal cabins and hydrotherapy pools.
We have worked with well-known suppliers to develop new and innovative thermal and pool designs We were the first practice to specify a kilo sauna in the UK, the first to introduce salt water hydro-pools to cruise ships, develop roof top hydro-pools and bring specialist thermal cabins to international markets.
Working with highly successful investors and operators across all sizes and types of operations, from large corporates to small innovators, understanding the target market, offering the correct mix of facilities, ensuring operational flexibility and maximising revenue streams to ensure the commercial success of every project.
We have the ability to design across multiple types & locations. These range from the urban spa, where space & time are at a premium- with optimized offerings providing highly convenient high impact services in often compact and challenging environments, ranging to large scale wellness master planning with extensive wellness, ‘medi’ & thermal services, multiple F&B offerings, extensive outdoor amenities such as hydro pools & sensory gardens, vegetable allotments & wellness accommodation including hotels, apartments & residences.
